Course Overview:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been tasked by Congress to conduct a comprehensive study of the coastal regions withind the boundaries of the North Atlantic Division to assess the need to address community and infrastructure vulnerabilites in a regional risk and disaster resilience system. This presentation will educate participants on findings of the study including: 

  • Approaches to mitigate flooding risks in coastal communities;
  • An overview of the business case for resilient and sustainable communities; and
  • Hear the highlights of the Comprehensive Study before your Congress Representative reads it.
